The client
CT Burricolandia (CTB) is a poker training community run by Guilherme "anao19", a poker player and the owner of the platform. Students improve through lessons, rankings and team play, and the operation depends on all of that working every day.
The problem
CTB ran on Circle and paid more than R$ 1,500 a month. The bill wasn’t the only problem:
- What the business needed didn’t exist there. Rankings, poker teams, surveys and gamification didn’t fit the platform.
- The data was locked in. Access and engagement per lesson or per student never left Circle.
- The experience belonged to Circle, not to CTB.
What we built
A platform of its own, designed around the way CTB teaches:
- Courses: categories, modules and lessons, with progress per student.
- Ranking and gamification: points and standings across students.
- Poker teams: team management and results.
- Internal surveys: feedback from the student base, organized.
- Access reports: per lesson, module and student.
- Subscriptions on Eduzz: CTB already used Eduzz (a Brazilian digital-product checkout) and kept using it. The platform connects to it.
- Discord, connected: platform and community in sync.
- Admin panel: the whole operation in one place.
The first version went live in 1 month. Since then, new modules ship as the operation asks for them.
The result
- A custom platform for about what Circle cost, with more openness, customization and control.
In the platform’s first 6 months:
- +50% active users
- +20% student retention
- +35% Discord engagement
